Relatively new on the tourism radar screen, this world-class resort has developed in less than 40 years. First came the hippies who discovered Negril’s pristine beaches, limestone cliffs, and kaleidoscopic sunsets. The ’70s brought resorts and the boom was on. More yuppie than hippie now, the area is a growing market for rooms, restaurants and recreation. Many young couples, having visited Negril years ago, return today with their families to enjoy the area.
